Hawaiian Music Hall Of Fame Presents: "E Ho`omau `Ia" (To Perpetuate)

This is our 3rd Annual Fall concert honoring Na Lani Eha - King David Kalakaua, Queen Lili`uokalini, Prince William Leleiohuku and Princess Miriam Likelike, the Patrons of Hawai`i's rich music culture, and composers in their own right. Music of the Hall of Fame honorees and other traditional songs will also be performed by our guest vocalists, instrumentalists and dancers. Emma Veary, accompanied by Randall (Randie) Hongo open the concert, which will be emceed by Harry Soria. This year, we have a special performance by "Kilinahe" the young quartet who are winners of the "Ka Himeni Ana" annual song contest. The Kahauanu Lake Singers will present selections from their recently released Hula Records CD "Na Mele `Auhau", songs of tribute, and such prominent Kumu Hula as Momi Kepilino and Al Kula Abiva will dance. Kahauanu Lake is the producer and director, assisted by Kaina Waia`u. Gracious hostesses for this concert are members of "Halau O Na Maolipua", and the program's generous sponsors are Harry's Music, Hula Records, Alicia Keawekane Smith, and Al Kula Abiva. Donations for this concert benefit the Hall of Fame by supporting the presentation of future music programs for you.
