Accompaniment Tapes Available?

Hi, just found this site...I'm a music teacher in the L.A. area doing research for a Polynesian music program I'd like to do with my elementary students next spring. Here, we can purchase (for practice/performance)special accompaniment tracks with and without vocals for all kinds of different music. In the past I have purchased accomp. tracks for an all-Spanish program and was also able to find the same for an African program. Unfortunately, Polynesian music is not as easy to come by.I know schools there must have the same budget concerns...what do music teachers on the islands do? Do they ever sing to such tracks when live accomp. is not an option? I am spending the whole year teaching about the cultures etc. So far we are having a great time...any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. |
