It's been a joy to read the biographies of the Hall of Fame inductees. I'm a Mainlander without a drop of Hawaiian blood, but I and my fellow Okie Roger Eaton have been singing Hawaiian music for 28 years. Thank you for supplying a conduit where we can remain informed about the status of the music we love.

Mahalo for your nice message. You can order Hawaiian recordings -- both traditional and contemporary from Auntie Maria: www.mele.com
This should help. If you'd like, I can put you on the mailing list for our quarterly newsletter, "Ho'oha'i" (to inform). Just e-mail me your snail mail address. At the website for Hawaiian Steel Guitar Ass'n, you will find reviews of recent Hawaiian recordings, if instrumentals interest you. HSGA website is linked to this one.
E komo mai! Come visit Hawai'i.

Aloha, Your site is an answer to a desire to connect with the music I love so dearly. My precious collectin of 49th State records were destroyed in a house fire and I miss them. they were late 40' early 50's. I'd love to find hear again the voice of Bill Lincoln but can't find tapes/cd's of his. Where can I find these older songs ? There were a number of other artists too.

Aloha Claire,
Michael Cord of Cord International Records owns the 49th State catalog, and has done extensive audio restoration to the records. The music is now available from Cord on CDs, along with many other "oldies & goodies". You can contact Cord by email: CORDINTL@aol.com for his catalog. Enjoy!
