| I have two questions about this song. 1) What are the origins of the song "Nanakuli Blues"? 2) In the song "Nanakuli Blues", the writers say "I was confused....I found I had lost the things that I couldn't lose..." What do they mean? What was it they "couldn't lose"? |

| This song has become better known as "Waimanalo Blue" since Country Comfort recorded it. Many others, including Bla Paninui and Pure Heart, have recorded it. The lyrics can be found at: http://www.tropicalstormhawaii.com/cgi-bin/view.cgi?pid=song&song=lj/waimanolu_blues.txt Jesse Tinsley |

Glad you know the real name of this song. Lyrics part was anwered by Jesse. Song written in early 70's or late 60's by Liko Martin who also wrote All Hawai'i Stand Together. |
