Aloha, I'm searching for the lyrics for the song "Ho'omalimali e" I know this is better known as an instrumental piece for the steel guitar and I guess that's why it was hard to find the lyrics anywhere in the other Hawaiian lyrics sites. Barney Isaacs and the kahala Surf Serenaders did a recording of it with vocals - I've got all the lyrics but ONE line...Any help would be very much appreciated. mahalo, mutiana

According to my Mom, the song tells about a man who's wife has leprosy and is confined on the island of Moloka'i. He stands on a hill on Maui and wishes that the breeze, "Ka Makani" will carry (ka'ili), not "grab", his love "Alohs" and devotion to her He says that he is proud, "kaulana", to be her husband and to let it be known throughout the land (aina), that "I will always cherish (ho'oheneo) our times together".

My halau had been searching for a recent recording of Kimo Alama's "Nani Manoa". After months of searching without any luck we decided to look for the Halona LP. No luck. Ipo Kumukahi's recording of it is nowhere to be found. But she does a beautiful job. Many people have been looking for this beautiful song. Just came across a brand new recording called "Still Strumming" with "Nani Manoa" and it gives a brief history of the song as well. Beautiful recording of it. Beautiful song. Thanks Kimo Alama. Does anyone know where I can get a recent recording of Nihi Ka Hele?
