| As a U.S. Marine flying El Toro/Barbers Point/Tokyo and return, at every opportunity I would go to the Moana, buy a drink, stand in the background under the Banyan and watch the Webley Edwards show being broadcase to the mainland on Saturday afternoons. One evening I happened into Don the Beachcomber and was privileged to hear Apaka and Kahalewai sing the Hawaiian Wedding Song. It was to beautiful if brought tears to my eyes. I'll never forget it. |
