| hawaiian music starts with the source. there is only one source. the chants and the meles. start with the kumulipo and begin to read about hawaiian history and culture. begin with the Queens Songbook, and the Kings Songbook, and visit mele.com, the best site for all of this. click on the sections where You can see and listen to our beloved kupuna tell the story. it begins and ENDS with hula. this is the truth.
