Lost my link; can anyone bring me up to date on his history? He is my great uncle but little or no information is known by us.

Aloha, Just letting you know that the archivist at the Kamehameha Schools on O'ahu knows a TON about your uncle. It's her favorite singer of all time and she has several things about him in the archives at the school because he graduated from the Kamehameha Schools. Her name is Janet Zisk and her email is jazisk@ksbe.edu. I hope this helps!

Aloha, I never heard of Tandy until a few days ago I discovered a book about him in the library. This is a subject that I would have never read or even glance at, but for some reason this book was calling to me. Took it home and read cover to cover. Enjoyed every minute of it. Made be proud to know he is of hawaiian ancestry and nontheless a native of Hana, Maui. Something I can relate to since I'm from Keanae. Even more exciting, a grandaunt told me that we are family. What a small world. Now that I read his book I would like to listen to his music. Do you know how I could purchase his music? Do they have it available on CD? Don't get to Oahu much, but is there any place on Maui that could help in my search? Tried the library and internet...notthing.

Mahalo nui,

Kuuipo

Unfortunately, none of singing can be heard on CD -- but you might be able to find a copy of a used vinyl album of his. I got mine at Jelly's Music on O`ahu, just one of many used-music retailers here in the islands. You can also try an online search with google -- check out www.gemm.com, too.

Best of luck!

Aloha,
auntie maria
