Papa`ia To Hulu

| My family's name was originally Papa`ia but in the 20's they changed their name to Hulu. Could anyone tell me why they would have done this? I know my grandfather left his wife Alice Makale`a in Honolulu and married my grandmother in England. Mahalo from Australia. |
