I am interested in any information I can get about music and musical culture during the reigns of Kalakaua and Liliuokalani. I am especially interested in the compositions of the monarchs and music that might have been used during state occasions. I am interested in creating an opera set in this time period and would like to include either authentic Hawaiian music, or music in the style of the period. I'll take any suggestions anyone has.

Aloha.
