Aloha e pahea oi?- We are launching a world-class portal site for the HI Islands in the next few weeks which covers evrythign from activities to windsurfing and , ofcourse, HI culture and history. An important part of this site is the HawaiiMusicGuide (which is also its own .com). This "guide" incorporates a pictorial tour and an detailed Information Overview. I am looking for pictures that we can post for the pictorial tour of famous HI musicians from yesteryear. Where can I get these, as well as permission, to use them on the site? Also- I am searching for information on the history of HI music, chants, etc from the beginning, when the Islands were frist settled up thru today's HI music. The more complete and accurate this overview, the better. The intent of this part of the portal is to educate the world about how and when HI music started, the evoltuion it has gone thru, and where it is today. If anyone has done any extensive work on this topic and has already wri!
tten something, we would love to take a look at it and post it (with credits given to the author, ofcourse). If nothing of this magnitude has yet been written, can you point me in the right direction to gather the information, so I can write it mysefl? Your kokua is much appreciated. Malama pono! debbie

Debbie, You just said, "Hello, How are best."
The correct way is,"Aloha, Pehea 'oe." Not Pehea oi. Omi
