I am looking for information about Al Lucas, late-50s pop singer. He appeared on bills with Robin Luke and Tom Moffatt, for example, and recorded "She's My Baby", later an Australian hit for Johnny O'Keefe.

The record was released on Challenge, a Hollywood label, but I think Al Lucas was from Hawaii. I don't know whether the track was recorded in Hawaii or the Mainland. Tom Moffatt is credited as co-writer along with Earl Finch and the US songwriter Scott Turnbull.

I saw a 1997 obituary in the Star Bulletin for "Alfred B. Hornos Jr., 61, of Lihue, also known as Al Lucas, an entertainer". Would this be the same Al Lucas?

I have written about "She's My Baby" here, but you will see I'm short on details about Al Lucas. http://www.poparchives.com.au/feature.php?id=380
