Aloha! I am trying to locate any info and also photos of William Merseburgh Sr. and Jr. Senior was pure German, from Germany, and was appointed by King Kamehameha the 4th to be leader of his royal band,in 1847, then later to become the "Royal Hawaiian Band". This is Henry Kaleialoha Allen's grandfather and great grand father. Pure German on that side and pure Hawaiian on the gradmother's side. Any inforamation will be greatly appreciated. Herny hs no living realtives that he knows of on this side. This inoramtion is needed for his "Lifetime Documentary" and musical presentations that he is doing. Aloha, Mrs. Henry Kaleialoha Allen I'm a direct descendant to the Merseburgh ohana and William Sr. is my great great great grandfather and I am hoping that if some one out here has a picture of him I sure would want a copy of it too. I live in California and I would like to get in touch with you to discuss the family history. I started a family tree and was suprised that William Sr. married Emma Kealii Kamakanoanoa and had 10 kids. She is a descendant from Kiha Pi'ilani son of King Pi'ilani of Maui around the 1400's. I hope you find a picture and if you got any info on the ohana's please let me know. Mahalo, Vic... |
