| I've noticed lately that Barry Flanagan is performing solo... I see no mention of Hapa or of Keli'i on the newsgroup. I know I'm a little behind the times... been off my computer for too many months but could someone clue me in on Hapa? Thanx Cheryl |

| Keli`i Kaneali`i and Barry Flanagan made no formal announcement of the split -- chalk it up to "professional differences". Barry is touring and performing with Amy Gilliom; Keli`i and members of his `ohana were performing regularly at Chai's Bistro (O`ahu) -- not sure if that gig is still happening, though. -- auntie maria |

| Sorry to hear about HAPA split! My family lives in Kapaa Kauai and that is where I was first introduced to the group years ago. Glad I have all their albums on CD. The first was the best! |

| Aloha Cheryl, Kelii is now performing Friday & Saturday at the Pacific Beach Hotel, and on Sunday's at Chai's Bisto in the Aloha Tower Market Place. He performs as a duo with steel guitarist Bobby Ingano. |

| I am trying to find out if Keli'i and Barry are back together for this tour. The information for the tickets refers to Keli'i, but when you start looking further, it only refers to Nathan. Does anyone know which one is on this tour? |

| Keli`i and Barry have gone their separate ways -- the new Hapa is Nathan Aweau and Barry Flanagan, plus Charles Ka`upu as their chanter (and occasional fill-in guitarists as well). Keli`i Kaneali`i lives here on Kaua`i -- still performs every week on O`ahu, with dancing by the lovely Healani Youn. No website for him (yet), and he's still working on his next CD. He and Healani filled in for another performer at the Hanalei Bay Resort last week (such a treat!) and he sang one of his new compositions (lyrics by Healani; music by Keli`i) -- gorgeous song about the area of this island, from Anahola to Ke`e. No release date to announce...yet. :-) |

| The debut CD from the "new" Hapa (Nathan Aweau & Barry Flanagan) is entitled "Maui" -- due for release 3/22/05. |

| Aloha, I was lucky enough to attend HAPA'S Seattle concert. Even luckier to be invited to stay for their second performance of the night and photograph the concert. I had the wonderful opportunity to hear Keli'i play on 2 Tuesday nights in Tahiti Nu'i restaurant in Hanalei Kau'i. By himself in this old-time and now-reduced size place - about 15 tables. He played for 3 hours, knew lots of regulars. Wonderful wonderful singer and 12 string guitarist, extremely nice and personable. Could listen to him on and on. Motivated me to get a 12 string guitar. Keli`i performs every Tuesday night at Tahiti Nui (in beautiful downtown Hanalei), here on Kaua`i -- 6 or 7pm until about 9pm He lives just down the road (in Anahola). Info about the upcoming Hapa tour -- Nathan Aweau, Barry Flanagan, and Charles Ka`upu -- is on their website: http://www.hapa.com |

Hi all, I'm wondering if Keli`i Kaneali`i is still performing at Tahiti Nui? We're planning to be on Kauai in June 2006 and really want to see him. Any updates? It's hard to find him on the internet. thanks! |

His schedule at Tahiti Nui must be flexible -- he still does private gigs and tours. Check with Tahiti Nui when you arrive, to find out what is current. |

Has anyone been able to find printed music or guitar Tab for Hapa music? I met Barry Flanagan once before a concert in Boulder, CO and asked him about this. He said he had not officially printed any music, but there might be some unofficial versions out there. Thanks, Greg in Dallas, TX |
