Aloha kakou, Ninau au. Just like "Ha'ina mai ka puana", I see a lot of Hawaiian song have following phrase 'Auhea wale ana 'oe'. Does anybody know why? Literal translation is "where are you?" but I just found out some are translated differently such as "This is to you" (see Pua Lililehua http://www.huapala.org/Pua/Pua_Lili_Lehua.html) Does this expression mean something beyond where are you? |
